LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

Leadership and Management

Description: The physical component  to my semester-long archival project, this archival description presents my simulated archive's purpose, mission, and project outline with results. It also discusses needs to implement a future archive of this nature, and limitations  encountered during developmental stages.

Analysis: What made this assignment memorable was how it's served as an example of having difficulty achieving the proper direction to represent the project to readers. Knowing the history behind this project, I assumed it would be easy to develop an outline on what needed to be accomplished, but in fact the project's outline was changed numerous times before its final layout was implemented.

Furthermore, as my archival subject is a naturally sensitive one, it is very rewarding to me that the proper descriptions and standards were presented in an effective and appropriate manner.

Reflection: Outlining a physical "roadmap" made my final, 30-minute presentation more efficient, timely, and organized. This type of archival management project was also beneficial as it allowed me to understand conflicts and concerns that can present, and methods to solve them when possible.
